Laser & Light-Based Hair Removal Training Program (160 Hours)

The medical aesthetics industry has quickly grown into a multi-billion-dollar marketplace. Businesses need well-trained cosmetic laser technicians to deliver these in-demand procedures.

If you’re looking to become a cosmetic laser technician, now is the time! Career possibilities are endless—showcase your new skills at medical spas, laser clinics, physician’s offices, fitness centers, and more! 

Students in this program learn how to:

·   Recognize the cosmetic client’s unique characteristics.

·   Understand the fundamentals of how a laser interacts with skin tissue.

·   Explain how different types of light-based devices interact with the skin.

·   Identify safety issues and complications as well as recognize contraindications for various cosmetic laser treatments.

·   Determine which types of laser treatments will create the desired results for your clients.

·   Understand the hazards associated with cosmetic lasers and how to avoid them.

·   Demonstrate proper technique and safe operation of laser and pulsed light devices.

·   Explain the benefits, expectations, and results associated with several laser devices.

 

Weekly Class Schedule:

Full-time Days: 30 hours per week, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Part-time Days: Minimum of 20 hours per week, 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Part-time Nights: Minimum of 20 hours per week, 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Wednesday; plus 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM on Friday.

 

*Financial aid is available for those who qualify.
